For this episode of Brewstilled, I’ll be discussing lingering NFL storylines that dominated week 2 of the NFL preseason before the regular season begins. For week 2 of the preseason, we saw developments in the Trey Lance storyline in his quest to secure a permanent spot on the Dallas Cowboys roster as Dak Prescott’s backup or maybe even more. We also got the answer on who will be the Raiders starting Quarterback for week one. The Mazi Smith story arc for the Dallas Cowboys also continues. Will Mazi Smith secure his status with the Cowboys or will he become a bust? The Quarterback situation with the Atlanta Falcons will also be discussed as Michael Penix Jr. has been benched for the rest of the preseason. Was this done just to appease Kirk Cousins? I’ll also speculate if Aaron Rogers will play in the preseason finale. A Lager from Porchlight Brewing is on tap for the beer pairing.
