A former federal penitentiary, Alcatraz is now a popular tourist destination attracting over a million visitors a year. Yet, Alcatraz is rumored to be the site of multiple ghost who are said to haunt the island. There are reports of the ghost of former inmates, the presence of spirits, the glowing eyes and more. Alcatraz also has a history of being a prison island long before it became a federal penitentiary. Is Alcatraz Island the site of ghosts, hauntings and the gateway to the spirt world or is it all a legend?
