In this episode of Brewstilled, Barrel Aged Mysteries return to the Brewstilled podcast. In this edition of Barrel Aged Mysteries, we’ll be exploring the mystery of the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Cup. The Brunswick-Balke-Collender Cup was a silver trophy donated to the American Professional Football Association, which eventually became the National Football League. The trophy served as the very first trophy for professional football, but it lived a short life as it eventually disappeared and has been missing since 1921. For some it has been seen as the greatest mystery in sports while some call the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Cup the Holy Grail of the NFL. I’ll discuss this mystery with a Barrel Aged Imperil Stout of Pure Project Brewing as the beer pairing.
