In this episode of Brewstilled Barrel Aged Mysteries continues. For this edition of Barrel Aged Mysteries, we’re exploring the mystery surrounding Room 39 in North Korea. Room 39 has been described as the cornerstone of the North Korea’s so-called "court economy" centered on the dynastic Kim family. Room 39 is also involved in the management of foreign currency earnings from foreigners' hotels in Pyongyang, mining operations, along with various business ventures. It’s also believed to run networks of illegal and legal companies that often change names. Yet, Room 39 has a darker and mysterious side as its believed to have been involved with sinister operations surround this organization with mystery. I’ll discuss the mystery of Room 39 here on Brewstilled with a Barrel Aged Ale from Pherm Brewing Company as the beer pairing.
